Concept:
To solve the problem of non-site-specific, low-income housing in Chile, this design proposes a modular solution which is adaptable to varying contextual conditions, such as community needs, grading, existing infrastructure, urban context and environmental factors. The walls of the modules are angled for protection from Chile’s frequent seismic events. Each unit has its own courtyard space, car park in the front of the unit, and access to a public roof deck.
